Press Statement
22 June 2025

The American attack on Iran constitutes a violation of the sovereignty of an independent state. All parties must adhere to diplomatic solutions and refrain from engaging in conflict, as its security, political, and environmental consequences will be deeply alarming. Any further escalation will lead to devastating repercussions that extend beyond the region.

The recent American attacks, preceded by assaults from the Zionist entity, are a blatant violation of all norms of international law. Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself in accordance with international law. We warn that the consequences of such escalation pose a threat that transcends regional boundaries and increases the risk of a third world war.

Therefore, the international community must intensify its efforts to find a political solution that prevents the crisis from escalating, contains the conflict, and halts the erosion of the United Nations Charter.

It is also important to highlight the grave danger of bombing nuclear facilities, which threatens human lives, disrupts environmental balance, and could result in unpredictable consequences for global stability and climate pollution.

The United States should have continued along the path of negotiations with Iran to reach a peaceful solution to the nuclear program, rather than abandoning diplomacy and following Netanyahu’s agenda of escalation and expanding the conflict in line with a broader plan to reshape the region’s states.

We call on the international community to redouble its efforts to revive the political and diplomatic path to resolve the crisis and steer it away from military escalation.
