Head of Riwaq Baghdad Center: The Iraqi Dialogue Institute Bridges Theory and Reality

Dr. Abbas Al-Anbari, Head of the Riwaq Baghdad Center for Studies, praised the importance of the 7th Baghdad International Dialogue Conference, recently organized by the Iraqi Dialogue Institute in Baghdad. The event focused on Iraq’s future through the “Development Road” project and was described as a prominent intellectual and political platform that brought together a high-level elite from across the world.

In a statement to the Iraqi Dialogue Institute’s website, Al-Anbari noted that the conference witnessed broad participation from political, academic, and intellectual figures from both inside and outside Iraq, reflecting growing regional and international interest in the country’s future.

He added that the Iraqi Dialogue Institute is a think tank dedicated to linking theory with practice, and it has centered its efforts around presenting the “Development Road” as a strategic option for Iraq and the broader region. He emphasized the need to approach this project as a comprehensive vision requiring long-term commitment from successive governments to ensure its success.

Al-Anbari affirmed that such initiatives represent a crucial step toward fostering stability and sustainable development in Iraq—provided they are implemented with a realistic outlook and effective internal and external partnerships.
