Marouane El Krekshi, Director of North Africa and Middle East at the Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI), praised Iraq’s active participation in regional and international dialogues, describing it as a key opportunity to boost cooperation and build strategic relations that benefit the Iraqi economy.
In a video interview with the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue, El Krekshi emphasized that the 7th Baghdad International Dialogue Conference, which brings together representatives from across the globe, paves the way for deeper economic integration and contributes to regional peace and security. He also highlighted the importance of Iraq drawing on Western and international expertise, particularly in the development of its economy and strategic projects.
He noted that Iraq is taking promising steps toward playing a constructive role in the region, stressing that cooperation in development and economic integration should be a top priority to enhance stability in the Middle East.
